Diya registered 325,000 applications for compensation for housing destroyed by the war

Ukrainians have already submitted 325,000 reports about the destruction or damage to housing as a result of hostilities through the Diya portal.
About this reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a meeting with the participation of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Digital, the Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure.
He emphasized that the restoration of housing for Ukrainians is a priority area of rapid reconstruction. And this is exactly what the funds from the confiscated Russian assets should be directed to.
“According to the instructions of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the Government is actively preparing to launch rehabilitation projects in the housing sector. So far, Ukrainians have submitted more than 325,000 reports about the destruction or damage to housing through Diya,” the prime minister added.
The government analyzed these applications by region, discussed the working mechanism of the register, which records the destruction caused by the war, and identified three areas of compensation:
- for ongoing repairs;
- for major repair works;
- for the complete reconstruction of the destroyed housing.
“We count on the speedy adoption of draft law 7198 on compensation for damage and destruction of certain categories of real estate objects as a result of terrorist acts of the Russian Federation,” added the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.
