Naftogaz plans to open three home goods stores in Kyiv

Naftogaz, which previously launched an online home goods store, plans to open three physical stores in Kyiv in the first half of the year, and later expand throughout Ukraine.
Serhii Belyaev, director of the Naftogaz Ukrainy gas supply company, said this told in the comments of Forbes Ukraine.
Thus, the company plans to open a network of customer service centers in Kyiv and throughout Ukraine, where it will sell equipment and offer service.
The first three client centers should appear in Kyiv in the first half of the year: “Now we are looking for premises,” Belyaev clarifies. In total, “Naftogaz” wants to open dozens of client spaces in all regional centers.
For this purpose, the company plans to expand the staff, because at least two people will work in each offline point.
In centers with an area of up to 200 square meters. m “Naftogaz” plans to sell boilers, gas columns, gas stoves, offer services for installation and maintenance of equipment. It is noted that the range of products will be partly the same as in the online store.
According to Belyaev, the state-owned company spent 10,000 dollars to launch the site, and the opening of one client center will cost many times more, he notes.
As they told the publication in one of the large retail chains selling household appliances, the cost of setting up a store with an area of 750-1000 square meters. m without rent and the cost of inventory is about UAH 9 million. Thus, if Naftogaz opens one client center in each regional center under its control, it will cost more than a hundred million hryvnias.
Belyaev refused to name the amount of investment in the chain of stores. The payback period will be up to four years, he predicts.
