Russian actor and TV presenter Dmitry Nagiyev refused to host this year’s Muz-TV award ceremony. According to the artist, he is grateful to the concern for their trust, but “this time – no.”
“Thank you very much for your trust. Apparently, this time – no! But the time will come, and we will definitely work hard and reward the best. Until then, as my grandfather used to say: “Sew you, not the honey fair in Luzhniki”, – said Dmitry Nagiyev on the video posted on Instagram.
In the previous recording, at the end of December last year, the actor says: “How I want to just live and just work. It’s a pity, time is running out forever.”
The Muz-TV award ceremony is expected to take place on June 2 at the CSKA Arena in Moscow, Meduza notes. After the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine in 2022, many Russian artists, including those who performed at the “Muz-TV” award, left Russia.
In March of last year, Dmitry Nagiyev posted a post in which he shaves his head to the song “Train on Fire” by the “Aquarium” band. “This train is on fire, and we don’t need anything more,” sings Borys Grebenshchikova. Nearby is Nagiyev’s text, in which he also mentions his grandfather: “Goodbye. We will definitely meet. I love you, despite the bitter taste of lost hopes. As my grandfather used to say, before communion: “What have I done, old man?”.
