Drones attacked a refinery in the Kaluga region

On Friday night, Ukrainian drones attacked the Pervyi Zavod oil refinery in the village of Polotnyany Zavod in the Russian Kaluga Region. This is reported by the Ukrainian mass media with reference to sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. A video is also published, which shows that a fire started as a result of a drone attack.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Russia and the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladyslav Shapsha, said that four drones were shot down, and there were no casualties or damage.

Telegram channel “Baza” claims that “all the drones were suppressed, but one of them hit the pipe, after which the fire started.” It is confirmed that it was quickly extinguished. There were no reports of plant shutdowns.

Over the past week, at least five oil refineries in Russia have been attacked by drones. In some cases, they were damaged. A source of the “Ukrainskaya Pravda” publication in the Security Service of Ukraine previously stated that it was this special service that organized the drone attack on three oil refineries in Russia on the night of March 13. We are talking about the enterprises in Ryazan, Kstovo of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Kirishah of the Leningrad Region. All these cities are located hundreds of kilometers from the border with Ukraine. In Ryazan and Kstovo, there were reports of fires on the territory of factories. On the morning of March 13, an attack was also carried out on a petroleum plant in the city of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov region. The work of the plant was suspended.
