As a result of shelling in Belgorod on Friday morning, two people were injured and several houses were damaged. This was reported by the Governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian air defense forces shot down projectiles fired from the territory of Ukraine from the missile salvo system.

A video is circulating on social networks, in which a projectile allegedly hits a car on Belgorod Street. It is claimed that it was empty.

The regional center, located near the border with Ukraine, has been shelled for several days in a row. Two dead and more than 10 wounded were reported the day before.

According to RIA Novosti, due to shelling on Friday, voting in the presidential elections of Russia had to be interrupted. Today is the first day of voting. It is confirmed that the people who came to the plots took shelter in shelters. After about 15 minutes, the voting continued.

They did not comment on the Ukrainian military shelling, however, the Legion “Freedom of Russia” and the Russian Volunteer Corps – armed formations fighting on the side of Ukraine and allegedly consisting of Russian citizens – warned about possible attacks on the cities of Belgorod and Kursk regions. They called on civilians to evacuate. In recent days, fighting has been going on on the Russian-Ukrainian border, the “LSR” and the RDC claimed that they broke through it, the Russian authorities deny this.
