DSV will provide transport equipment for the Armed Forces

DSV will provide transport equipment for the Armed Forces

[ad_1]

Transport and logistics company DSV will provide transport equipment worth DKK 3.5 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first batch has already arrived in Ukraine on May 31.

More than a year after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the war created a need for various materials and equipment to help the country and its Armed Forces.

As a sign of Ukraine’s constant support, the international transport and logistics company DSV handed over transport equipment worth about 3.5 million Danish kroner to the 15th and 21st brigades.

Among the transferred equipment are buses, trucks and trailers, as well as additional transport equipment. DSV plans to complete the delivery of all equipment by mid-June.

Transport assets will be a valuable addition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and support troop mobilization and supply movement.

Ukraine can count on help for a solution
urgent needs

Jens Bjorn Andersen, CEO of the DSV Group of Companies, is pleased to support the relief efforts and join in supporting the war-torn country:

“I am deeply moved by the resilience of the people of Ukraine during this difficult time. Since the invasion, I have been proud of how DSV has come together through our global network.

Our local representative offices have developed several initiatives to support Ukraine by providing goods and services, and I am glad that we can continue to show our support to the country,” he said.

DSV’s contribution was the result of a dialogue between Jens Bjorn Andersen and Mykhailo Vydoynyk, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Denmark, who provided a list of the necessary equipment to meet the needs of Ukrainian army brigades.

“In the current situation, the needs of our army are extremely great, and we count on the active help of our partners. I am convinced that the assistance of the DSV to the 15th and 21st brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will significantly strengthen logistics at the front.

In addition, I would like to encourage other companies in Denmark to follow DSV’s example and donate to provide our Armed Forces with what they need to succeed.

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Denmark is ready to share a list of urgent needs for our brigades,” – Ambassador Mykhailo Vydoynyk.

Quite a passion

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in early 2022, DSV in Ukraine resumed its activities in the spring and has since been fully operational in a country where transport and logistics are crucial to ensuring access to essential goods.

Jens Bjorn Andersen emphasizes the importance of the work of local DSV employees in Ukraine:

“I am very impressed by our Ukrainian colleagues, who continue to demonstrate great passion and unwavering commitment to the cause, to ensure the smooth operation of supply chains both for their country and beyond.

DSV’s contribution to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is one of the ways to use our capabilities to support our colleagues and all Ukrainians,” he notes.
