The investigation extended the deadline for the investigation into the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny until April 20. FBK Director Ivan Zhdanov reports this. He published a notice from the office of the Investigative Committee for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.

According to the document, on February 16, the day of Navalny’s death, an appropriate investigation was launched. Based on it, a decision was made to refuse to initiate a criminal case. Now this resolution has been canceled and the inspection materials have been re-admitted to the proceedings.

Zhdanov pointed out that from the moment of Navalny’s death and until now, the state has not given any official information about its causes.

The notice published by the FBK director was signed by Justice Major A.V. Varapaev. The investigator who demanded the secret funeral of her son from Navalny’s mother had the same last name.
