Currently, Ukrhydroenergo and Ukrenergo are working on possible scenarios for the further balanced operation of the energy system in view of the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP. To reduce flooding, the mode of operation of hydroelectric power stations is adjusted and water is accumulated above the Kakhovskaya HPP in other reservoirs of the Dnieper Cascade.

In addition, Ukrhydroenergo, together with Ukrhydroproject, is working on a project to cover the Kakhovsky Reservoir to restore the water level to the design mark before the blast. Now they are determining the list of priority tasks and works.
