The apartment of the wife of the President of Ukraine Elena Zelenskaya in the annexed Crimea was sold at auction on Monday. The price, according to the state information system “Torga”, amounted to 44.3 million rubles. Earlier, the property of Ukrainian officials in Crimea was nationalized by the Russian authorities.

Muscovite Olga Lypovetskaya became the new owner of a three-room apartment in Yalta. It is known about her that she is an entrepreneur, the owner of several LLCs. During the online auction, Lipovetskaya offered 20 million rubles more than the initial price.

On September 16, the speaker of the Russian parliament of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, reported that the Russian authorities put up for sale the first nationalized objects belonging to citizens of Ukraine in Crimea. According to him, notices for the sale of four more residential premises have been placed at open auctions. They are estimated at about 27 million rubles.

Earlier, Konstantinov stated that deputies controlled by the Kremlin voted for nationalization, in particular, of Zelenskaya’s apartment and the Mejlis building in Simferopol. The list also included the property of Ukrainian banks and industrial enterprises, wine production, a children’s camp and some other objects.

The Russian head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, mentioned that the money from the sale of the “property of Ukrainian businessmen” will go to finance the Russian army.

Deputy representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Tamila Tasheva, stated that Ukraine does not intend to recognize acts that violate human or state rights. These include decisions on the nationalization or confiscation of property and on the establishment of inheritance.
