Employees of “Rossety Severny Kavkaz” were arrested in the case of embezzlement

Employees of the company “Rossety Severny Kavkaz” and its branch “Dagenergo” were arrested in the case of large-scale personal fraud. This was reported by “Interfax” with reference to the Center for Public Relations of the FSB.

According to the investigation, the accused embezzled about 2.8 billion rubles, which were allocated for the creation of an automated electricity accounting system on the territory of Dagestan.

“Dagenergo subscribers were supposed to install meters that remotely transmit information about the consumed electricity. This innovation was designed to prevent theft and ensure transparency of calculations with consumers. However, to date, the system has not been put into operation,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk .

As part of the case, nine searches were conducted at the places of residence and work of the accused in the Moscow region, Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia and Stavropol region, writes “Interfax”.

In total, nine people were arrested in the case, they were sent to Pyatigorsk pre-trial detention center. At the beginning of April, it became known that Magomedhabib Mukhumaev, the head of Dagenergo, was arrested in the embezzlement case.
