“Energoatom” tested a mobile gas turbine power plant from the USA

On October 4, Ukraine tested it in a test mode gas turbine mobile power plant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
About this informs press service of NAEC “Energoatom”.
The gas turbine plant was obtained as part of technical assistance to the energy sector of Ukraine, which is damaged by regular terrorist attacks by Russia.
The installed capacity of the mobile power plant is 28 MW.
“Energoatom” emphasized that thanks to such an installation there is an opportunity to localize energy production in the region, and this will strengthen the Ukrainian energy network.
After receiving the equipment and installing it at one of the critical infrastructure facilities, the company prepared a production team that will work with the mobile installation.
“Energoatom’s specialists did everything in our power to fulfill the task set by the Ministry of Energy – to start the power plant before the next heating season. Despite the delay in the arrival of components, this task will be completed, the installation is already working in test mode and will be connected to the network on October 10-12, 2023 .”– noted the president of “Energoatom” Petro Kotin.
The head of NAEK also held a production meeting with specialists who were involved in the installation and start-up of the plant, and the personnel who will maintain the power plant.

Ukraine and the USA signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to ensure the stability of the energy system of Ukraine, which includes 522 million dollars for its strengthening, of which 100 million – for the fulfillment of certain conditions.
