“eRecovery”: three thousand Ukrainians applied for compensation for damaged housing in a day

[ad_1]

Three thousand Ukrainians submitted applications on the first day of work of the state program of compensation for destroyed housing “eRecovery”. Among the submitted applications, 41% concern the restoration of private houses, almost 59% are apartments. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Development of Municipalities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Azarkhina on the air “Svoboda. Morning” (Radio Svoboda project).

You can get up to UAH 200,000 for an apartment or house damaged as a result of hostilities, but the cost will be calculated after the applications are processed by representatives of local self-government.

How does it work?

Through the “Action” application, it is necessary to report the damage, then the local self-government bodies work, which are obliged to consider the application within one month.

“This is actually filling out a checklist, that is, a local self-government employee confirms “minus two windows, a damaged roof, minus one span,” Azarkhina noted.

Then, according to the formula included in the application, an automatic calculation is already made at the cost specified in the program itself. And then, when the local self-government body has confirmed that there is destruction, the funds are automatically charged to the card.

For people who do not have a smartphone with the “Diya” application, they plan to involve “Ukrposhta” and centers for the provision of administrative services in the program, so that it is possible to receive compensation there.

Money for compensation will be allocated from the liquidation fund for the consequences of armed aggression. This fund, as the deputy minister said, has two sources of income: seized sanctioned property of the Russian Federation and the profit of the National Bank.

Now the fund has 35 billion UAH. However, the Ministry of Finance, according to Azarkhin, gives forecasts of an increase in revenues.

Let’s remind

The Ministry of Finance wrote that on May 10, the program of state assistance for the restoration of damaged housing “eRecovery” started in Ukraine.

The service can be used by all citizens of Ukraine whose housing was damaged as a result of hostilities and is subject to restoration. This applies to apartments, private houses and other residential premises, for example, rooms in a hostel.

However, citizens who have already repaired their housing cannot yet apply for state assistance.

On the first day of operation of the “eRecovery” program, a failure occurred because the system could not withstand the load.
