The Rescue Department of Estonia will hand over various equipment to Ukraine to eliminate the consequences of flooding as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP.

“At the moment, the priority is to evacuate people from flooded areas, and as soon as the water recedes, we can begin to calculate the damage and pump out the water. It is very important for us that we can help Ukraine in this crisis. This is what friends do,” said Margo Klaos, director general of the Rescue Department. .
Estonia will transfer hoses, pumps, absorbent material, boats, wetsuits, waterproof rubber pants and cork vests to Ukraine.
In total, almost 457,000 euros worth of equipment will be sent. The funds are allocated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The European Commission reported on Tuesday that aid has arrived in Ukraine at this time already 14 EU member states to overcome the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP – we are talking about 76 boats, more than 300 pumps, and 160,000 items for arranging a shelter.
