The blockade of the Ukrainian-Polish border led to a 40% decrease in exports through checkpoints, which, in turn, caused a loss of UAH 9.3 billion to the state budget due to non-payment of customs payments.

According to Hetmantsev, blocking the border by Polish carriers is a powerful blow to the Ukrainian economy.
“We have a 40% decrease in exports through the relevant land checkpoints. We have a statement from carriers about losses of 400 million euros in the first two weeks of this blockade alone.” – said Hetmantsev.
In addition, according to the results of November, the budget lost UAH 9.3 billion from the lack of customs payments.
The People’s Deputy also urged the governments of the countries where the border is blocked to prevent the moment when the situation becomes critical, as it will also affect them.
“By weakening Ukraine, they are strengthening our common enemy and causing him to hit their own economies more powerfully. Given that the blockade is being carried out by marginal political forces that certainly do not represent the majority in these countries, I am convinced that this against the background, there is no need to play politics, but it is necessary to comply with the European law, which allows the free movement of vehicles on the territory of the EU,” Hetmantsev concluded.
