Currently, Green for you Food in Orzhitsa produces more than 40 types of first and second courses and desserts. Among them – dishes from vegetables, meat, porridge, snacks (zucchini caviar, beetroot, pate) and a sweet series – jams and teas. Ready meals do not require special storage conditions and remain suitable for consumption for up to two years.

The menu continues to expand, depending on customer requests. For example, they recently added two more options for first courses.

“We prepare traditional dishes familiar to Ukrainian cuisine: cabbage rolls, porridge with meat, potatoes with meat, stewed cabbage. They are all prepared at home,” says the founder of the production.

Such products are in demand during the war. “We are targeting military personnel who would like to diversify their diet with delicious homemade food, as well as people who work a lot and do not have the opportunity to cook, or husbands who have sent their wives abroad and also do not have the opportunity or do not know how to cook” , – says Tetyana Chernikova.

After the war, the entrepreneur predicts that the products will be in demand among tourists, fishermen and other people who can eat delicious homemade food on the road or in extreme conditions.

The dishes are brought to a state of semi-preparedness in a professional kitchen, packed in retort bags and sterilized in an autoclave. Thanks to this, traditional food can be stored for a long time without a refrigerator.

No preservatives or other chemical additives are used in production. The dishes are already ready for consumption, they do not need to be boiled or added water – it is enough to simply heat them in boiling water or on a pan.

The entrepreneur buys vegetables, fruits and berries from local residents and small farmers. He says that in Poltava region, where people grow a lot of vegetables, there are no problems with raw materials for production.

“Last year, it was difficult to work due to the fact that the prices of vegetables were extremely high, logistical connections were broken, and a lot of the harvest was lost. And this year, people planted more vegetables, and we have the opportunity to buy raw materials on the spot,” says Tetyana Chernikova.

There are four permanent employees at the factory. These are local residents who got a job thanks to the relocated production.

Tetyana Chernikova admits that the most difficult task was to establish the implementation of a relatively new product on the market. Food for long-term storage in retort packages reminded people of dry rations for the military or humanitarian food, so many store owners refused to take it for sale, and the stores that took it heard from customers accusations of trading in “volunteer”.

“We explained that we are a local manufacturer, that we work under our own brand and have a logo, we showed a production video, a website, but we were told that no one pays attention to it. Therefore, we are now developing large color labels so that no one gets confused,” says the entrepreneur.

The production capacity allows the production of up to 10,000 packages of products per month. The main part is sold through the online store and local trade establishments within the Poltava region.

In addition, the entrepreneur cooperates with volunteer and charitable organizations, so such food is delivered to regions affected by hostilities, as well as to the front.
