Female and family businesses can receive up to $35,000 for business development. How to participate

The USAID program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” announced a grant program with a support volume of $1.5 million for small and medium-sized family and women’s enterprises. As part of the initiative, grants in the amount of $10,000 to $35,000 are planned. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

Small, medium-sized family and women’s enterprises that produce goods or provide services will be able to receive financial assistance that can be spent on:
- business relocation,
- opening a new line of business,
- scaling within Ukraine or entering international markets.
The deadline for submitting an application for participation is until July 24.
Who can apply
- Applicants must be registered Ukrainian private enterprises, natural persons-entrepreneurs or legal entities that are officially established and recognized by the relevant state authorities of Ukraine and have a good reputation among them, as well as comply with all relevant norms of civil law and the Tax Code.
- If the applicant is a Ukrainian private enterprise, its number of employees must be less than 250 people, and the annual turnover must be less than 50 million euros, and/or the annual balance sheet must be less than 43 million euros.
- A family business is a business owned and managed by two or more members of the same family; A women’s business is a business owned by one woman or several women (over 50% ownership) and managed by a woman.
How to participate
The application process will take place in one stage. Applicants must submit a completed grant application and a detailed grant budget.
Applications will be accepted until July 24, 2023. Applications for grant support are accepted exclusively in electronic form by filling out an application on the Submittable platform using the link.
