Since the beginning of the year, the register of volunteers of the State Tax Service continues to grow rapidly, and on April 19 it included 4,300 people.
About this reported member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Olga Vasylevska-Smaglyuk.
As of April 19, 4,300 people were registered as volunteers at the Tax Office, and in 2023 the register continues to expand rapidly.
So, since the beginning of the year, 1,600 people have been included in the register of volunteers. This is 37% of the total number.
As previously reported, in the register of volunteers of the State Tax Service in 2022 registered 2,383 Ukrainians, which is more than eight times more than during its entire existence.
The register of volunteers for the anti-terrorist operation was created back in 2014, but before the full-scale invasion, it had only 320 people.
Registration at the Tax Office allows volunteers to avoid taxation of donations, because without it the DPS can charge 18% tax on the income of individuals and 1.5% military tax on donations. We remind you:
Legally, donations to the Armed Forces are also “other income of citizens”, and therefore subject to declaration and taxation: 18% personal income tax and 1.5% military levy.
Income is declared based on the results of the year in the following reporting year. That is, in 2023, the campaign to declare income for 2022 continues. The declaration must be submitted by May 1, 2023, and taxes on the income declared in it must be paid by August 1.
The only legal way to collect donations to your personal account and not pay taxes on them is to register in the state Register of Volunteers.
