The court in Rostov-on-Don will hear a criminal case against five residents of Melitopol, which is under the control of Russian troops. They are accused of organizing a “terrorist underground” in the Russian-occupied part of the Zaporozhye region. The newspaper “Kommersant” writes about it.

According to the FSB, five former and current employees of the Armed Forces planned to blow up a car near the place of delivery of humanitarian aid and throw anti-tank grenades at the equipment protecting the Russian military. The investigation also claims that all of them were members of the “Union of Melitopol ATO participants”, headed by Vladimir Mynko.

The men were detained in April – first they were taken from Melitopol to the annexed Krym, where they were arrested by the Kyiv court of Simferopol, and then sent to Moscow, to the “Lefortovo” pre-trial detention center. They are charged with participation in a terrorist community and preparation for an act of international terrorism.

As “Kommersant” writes, at first they partially admitted their guilt, but soon most of them refused their testimony. Consideration of the case in court should begin at the end of April.
