In Ingushetia, four people involved in attacks on law enforcement officers were killed, two more people were arrested, local authorities reported. The names of those arrested and killed are not disclosed, reports Kavkaz.Realii.
According to the press service of the head of Ingushetia, Mahmud-Ala Kalimatov, the suspects were killed during the shootout – where and when it happened is unknown. The authorities claim that the attackers declared themselves supporters of the terrorist organization “Islamic State”.
It is reported that nine residents of Ingushetia and Chechnya have been detained for aiding and abetting the attackers. At the same time, the regime of the anti-terrorist operation announced on April 3 in the Malgobek district of Ingushetia continues to operate. How many people are currently wanted is not reported.
Initially, six people were declared wanted. On March 29, one of them, Ramazan Eldiev, was found dead in Karabulak, he could have died from injuries received during the shootout. The body of Movsar Kottoev was found on April 5 in an abandoned house in the village of Aki-Yurt of the Malgobek district, according to the preliminary version, a grenade exploded in his vest. On April 7, another one of the wanted persons, 22-year-old Amir Bokov, was detained, the next day the state media reported that the fourth attacker, 24-year-old Mykayl Moshkhoev, had been detained. Thus, two more people were wanted in the case of a series of shootings in Ingushetia: 33-year-old Amirkhan Gurazhev and 35-year-old Adam Ozdoev.
- On the night of March 27-28, unknown persons fired at a police post on the border of Ingushetia and North Ossetia and fled the scene. Two policemen were injured. On April 3, unknown persons fired at police officers in the village of Gvardeyskoe, one officer was wounded. Then on the night of April 5 to 6 in the village of Zyazikov-Yurt of the Malgobek district, a shootout occurred again – three policemen were killed and eight more were wounded.
- A relative of the alleged attacker, who was previously detained in Chechnya, found a weapon and was detained. Security forces reported the discovery of a hand grenade in the car of 21-year-old Arba Babuev, who, according to reports, is the cousin of Ramzan Babuev, who was previously detained in Chechnya.
- On April 6, the brother and two uncles of the deceased Movsar Kottoev were detained in the Malgobek district of Ingushetia. Ammunition and explosive devices were found in their possession, and a case was opened against them under the article on illegal storage of explosives.
- Also, one of the detainees suspected of aiding and abetting the participants attacked the police – it is reported that this is 70-year-old Lechy Kottoev. Telegram channels reported on his detention on April 4. According to the investigation, he sheltered the suspects for three days.
