FUIB together with friends equipped a front-line operating room for 6 million hryvnias

In December 2022, the FUIB team decided to direct the entire budget provided for the New Year greeting of clients and partners to save the lives of Ukrainians. 3 million hryvnias of the gift budget became the initial payment for the purchase of operating room equipment in one of the hospitals on the frontline territory. However, this amount would not be enough for full equipment, so the bank offered its friends, partners and clients to join the collection.

On the eve of New Year’s holidays, PUMB launched a social online fundraising campaign on the website www.pumbdonation.com.ua. All those who were not indifferent could join the initiative and support the doctors saving lives in the frontline zones. Thanks to the donations of Ukrainians, it was possible to collect the full amount – 6 million hryvnias – for the purchase of all critically necessary equipment.

The partner of the initiative was the Sergey Prytula Charitable Foundation, which has long established itself as a responsible organization. With all the collected funds, with the help of the BF team, it was possible to purchase equipment for four operating rooms instead of one. According to doctors’ calculations, they can save up to 900 lives every month. The set includes: a blood transfusion device, four operating tables and a lamp, an endoscope stand, a device for measuring pressure and small consumables for the operating room.

The chief doctor of the front-line medical facility thanked all those who cared and emphasized that “the received surgical equipment from the first days of admission to the hospital helps serious patients with polytraumas and combat wounds, when the time of emergency care is counted in minutes, and actually brings them back to life.” This hospital is a support hospital for emergency medicine for the provision of medical care to wounded soldiers and victims from the de-occupied settlements of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

FUIB sincerely thanks all conscientious Ukrainians who participated in the fundraiser by donating any amount. All of us once again proved that the strength of Ukrainians lies in humanity and the ability to unite for a common goal. Together we are a great force leading our country to victory!
