The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has declared the general director of “Lenfilm” and the owner of media holding 1MI Fyodor Shcherbakov wanted. This was reported by “Fontanka”, which found the information in the search database.

The criminal case against Shcherbakov was not officially announced. “Mediazona” claims that the general director of “Lenfilm” has been in the search database since the end of January 2024.

On January 11, Ura.ru, citing sources, reported that Shcherbakov had left for Turkey. He left Russia allegedly because of a criminal case of extortion from Rostec top managers. Anton Safonov, his business partner, was detained in this case.

Yulia Fotchenko, Shcherbakov’s adviser, said that there is no official information about the search, and the general director of “Lenfilm” is on vacation until February 29.

Earlier, a court in Moscow sentenced Kirill Sukhanov, the commercial director of Ksenia Sobchak’s “Ostrozhno, Media” to seven and a half years in a high-security prison in a case of large-scale extortion. Two other defendants – the former editor-in-chief of the Russian version of the Tatler magazine Arian Romanovsky and the former Life journalist Tamerlan Bigaev – received seven years each in a maximum-security colony.

According to the investigation, Sukhanov allegedly demanded 11 million rubles from the head of Rostec state corporation Sergei Chemezov for the removal of negative materials about him in the Tushite svet Telegram channel. Bigaev was the administrator of this channel, and Romanovsky made materials for it.
