German concern Henkel completed the sale of Russian assets for 600 million euros

The German chemical giant Henkel announced the completion of the sale of its Russian assets. The transaction amount was 54 billion rubles (600 million euros). This is discussed in the company’s financial report for the first quarter of 2023.

“On April 20, 2023, Henkel announced the conclusion of an agreement to sell its commercial activities in Russia to a consortium of local financial investors. At present, the transaction is completed, the sale price is 54 billion rubles,” the message says.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance wrote that the German concern Henkel plans to complete the sale of its business in Russia in the first quarter of this year.

Henkel was founded in 1876. The company has been operating on the Russian market since 1990 and has 11 factories in the country. Henkel combines the Adhesive Technologies (glues and technologies), Laundry & Home Care (cleaning and washing products) and Beauty Care (cosmetics) divisions.

In Russia, the company produces products under such brands as Persil, Bref, Pril, “Losk”, “Laska”, Schwarzkopf, Syoss, Fa, Ceresit, “Moment” and Loctite adhesives.
