Google launches competitor ChatGPT for early testers
Google announced that a new artificial intelligence service called Bard is being launched for trusted testers. For other users, the service will be available in the coming weeks. This is reported by Bloomberg with reference to the blog of Alphabet CEO Sundar Pychai.

The technology is designed to generate detailed answers to simple questions, such as what to cook for dinner or how to plan a party.
“We will combine external feedback with our internal testing to ensure that Bard’s responses meet high standards of quality, safety and are based on real information,” Pychai said.
Google is releasing Bard amid problems in its flagship search business, which is its main source of revenue. Earlier, the Alphabet company reported that sales did not live up to expectations against the backdrop of a decline in digital advertising and investor concerns over competition in the field of artificial intelligence from ChatGPT and Open AI.

Bard will be based on LaMDA, a large language model developed by Google. According to a Google representative, the testers selected for early access are a geographically diverse group of people outside the company who will help improve the service and understand how ordinary users will encounter the AI service in real life.
In addition to the launch of Bard, Google will allow developers to use its language models to build their own applications and will begin opening up the API to companies, developers and creators next month.
Last week, Google announced a partnership with artificial intelligence startup Anthropic, which is testing its chatbot to compete with ChatGPT. According to a Bloomberg interlocutor, Google invested about $400 million in the startup.
