Graduates of the MAI are issued diplomas along with a summons to the military enlistment office

Graduates of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) are required to sign a summons at the military enlistment office to receive a diploma. “Verstka” learned about this.

According to graduates of the MAI, who graduated from the specialty, diplomas are handed out in the presence of the military commission and they refuse to issue them without a summons. It is necessary to appear at the military enlistment office “to clarify the documents of military registration”, the summons says. A graduate who visited the military enlistment office on the summons to the diploma said that there they tried to recruit him for contract service. He refused.

Last week, the military commissar of the Penza region announced that PSU students will receive summonses at the same time as their graduation diplomas. On the same day, the rector of the university denied this, saying that “such messages are intended to destabilize our students.”

It is known that now residents of at least 43 Russian regions are receiving summonses, including for military gatherings. Meetings can be held only by presidential decree, lawyer Pavel Chikov notes. At the moment, such a decree has not been published.

On April 1, a new recruitment of contract workers into the army will begin in Russia, and the corresponding orders have already been launched in the regions, Ura.ru reported with reference to sources in the Ural regions. It is planned to invite 400 thousand people, the publication claims.

“Vyorstka” with reference to its sources also reported that the Russian military enlistment offices are starting a new recruitment of volunteers for the war in Ukraine. According to the publication’s interlocutor in the law enforcement agencies of the Voronezh region, the military is “calculating to make up for the losses” in the ranks of artillerymen and armored vehicle operators – these specialties were called “deficit” by the source.

At the same time, he did not rule out that “desperate people, marginal people who have nothing to lose” will eventually go to the front. He also emphasized that it is possible to refuse a trip to the war “without sanctions” at the military enlistment offices.
