GUR of Ukraine rejects Putin’s statements about the “window on the border”

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR) rejected the statements of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin that the alleged perpetrators of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow intended to cross the border of Russia with Ukraine, where a window was allegedly “prepared” for them from the Ukrainian side.
The representative of GUR Andrey Yusov said that Putin’s version “does not withstand any criticism.”
According to Yusov, in the third year of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the border territories are filled with “troops, special agents, representatives of special services, security forces”, “the border line is mined, surveillance is conducted by all means, including aerial reconnaissance, from both sides.”
The FSB also stated earlier that the attackers of Crocus City Hall allegedly traveled to Ukraine and were detained near the border with that country.
There was a video of the detention of one of the alleged terrorists, published by the Baza Telegram channel geolocated by a volunteer of the GeoConfirmed project, writing in X social networks under the name @auditor_ya, as taken in the Bryansk region, on the M3/E101 highway. This is the federal road “Ukraine” (exact coordinates). It is more than 130 kilometers from here to the Ukrainian border.
At the same time, Baza previously claimed that a car with suspected terrorists was detained in the Bryansk region in the village of Töpliy. It is much closer to Belarus than to Ukraine. It was claimed that several suspects managed to hide at the same time, and they were detained in another place. The specific place of detention was not officially announced.
A number of pro-government and pro-war Telegram channels actively promote the version of the involvement of Ukrainian special services in the attack on “Crocus City Hall”. Kyiv denies any involvement in the terrorist attack.
According to the latest data, at least 133 people were killed in the attack on Crocus City Hall. Apparently, this is not the final number.
