Two members of the so-called Tsapkov gang were allegedly pardoned for their participation in the invasion of Ukraine. 161.ru writes about it with reference to its own sources. The Sibir.Realii project drew attention to the publication.
As stated, it is about Vyacheslav Ryabtsev (Buba) and Andrei Bykov (Byk), sentenced to 20 years in the case of mass murder in the village of Kushchevskaya, Krasnodar Territory, on November 5, 2010. Presumably, Bykov and Ryabtsev were recruited into PMC “Wagner”. Sources of the publication claim that Ryabtsev, who went to war first, is now “free, married, lives in one of the cities of the Krasnodar region”, and Bykov was wounded and is now undergoing treatment.
The source also claims that another member of the gang, Vladimir Alekseyev, was refused admission to PMC “Wagner”.
When exactly the former members of the gang were recruited is not reported. The recruitment of prisoners to PMC “Wagner” began in the spring of 2022 and ended in early 2023, when prisoners began to be recruited directly by the Ministry of Defense.
On January 29, the Telegram channel “Zam Vsekh Upravleny” published a photo, which allegedly shows the wounded Andrey Bykov and Nadezhda, the mother of the now-deceased head of the gang, Sergei Tsapka. She declared that the photo was fake and refused to talk to the journalist.
The “Tsapkov gang” became known in November 2010 after a mass murder in the town of Kushchevskaya, Krasnodar Territory. Then 12 people, including four children, were killed in the house of local businessman Server Ametov. On suspicion of committing a crime, the court arrested 14 people, including gang leader Sergey Tsapko and his closest associate Vyacheslav Tsepovyaz. Tsapok and many other accused received 20 years in prison.
After the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia began to recruit prisoners into the army, including murderers, rapists and those convicted of other serious crimes. After a certain time spent on the front line, they are released. Relatives of those killed and injured protest, but to no avail. Some of those released have already committed new crimes.
