In 2022, Shell’s profit doubled

Last year, the profit of the Shell corporation, which is attributable to its shareholders, doubled, compared to the value of 2021. The indicator reached $42.309 billion, LBLV analysts noted.
Diluted earnings per share in the reporting period reached $5.71 after $2.57 in 2021. As for revenue, it rose 46% to $381.314 billion.
Analysts reported that in the fourth quarter the profit decreased by 9% to 10.406 billion dollars. In the specified period, the profit per security amounted to 1.46 dollars, which is lower than last year’s value of 1.48 dollars. At the same time, the quarterly revenue rose by 18.7 % to 101.303 billion dollars.
As of the end of the year, the debt of the Shell company amounted to 44.838 billion dollars. It decreased in the annual ratio by 15%.
Daily oil production last year amounted to 2.864 million barrels, which decreased by 12% compared to the same period of the previous year. It is noted that the profit in the field of mining and geological exploration increased by 1.7 times – to 16.223 billion dollars.
In the 4th quarter, the profit in this area decreased by 1.7 times to 1.38 billion dollars. At the same time, in the reporting period, production increased by 2% to 2.831 million barrels.
Shares of Shell today traveled by 2.73% to 2,429 British pence, LBLV reported.
