Reznikov stated that he was not offered to head the Ministry of Strategy and Industry, but he would have refused

Oleksiy Reznikov, who may soon be fired from the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine, said that neither the president nor the prime minister offered him to head the Ministry of Strategic Industries, but he would refuse if such an offer came.

Direct speech: “I can comment that this is news to me. I have not had any conversation about the Ministry of Strategic Industry with the President of Ukraine.”

Details: Earlier, the head of the “Servant of the People” faction, David Arakhamia, announced that Reznikov “is being transferred to the position of minister for strategic industries.”

Instead, Reznikov said in a comment to “ICTV” that he was hearing for the first time that he could head the Ministry of Strategy and Industry and would have refused such an offer if it had been made.

“This is the first time I am hearing about the Ministry of Strategy and Industry. I want to say as a lawyer that there is no such procedure of transfer within the government from minister to minister – this decision of the parliament can only be made at the request of the prime minister, if it is not a position of the MOU or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

If I suddenly received such an offer from the President of Ukraine or the Prime Minister, I would refuse it, because I do not have the expertise that would allow me to be the Minister of the Ministry of Strategic Industries. That’s why I think it’s a mistake,” the minister emphasized.

We will remind: The Servant of the People faction plans to vote for the dismissal of Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and Minister of Strategic Industries Pavel Ryabikin.
