In Arkhangelsk, a supporter of the war was fined for the slogan “Glory to Ukraine!”

In Arkhangelsk, the court found a local resident, Andrey Danylkov, guilty of discrediting the army for shouting the slogan “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!” at a bus stop. This is reported by the Telegram channel SOTA.

Danylkov was fined 30,000 rubles under an administrative article on public discrediting of the Russian armed forces. It is reported that the convicted person repented of what he had done, and committed the act in a drunken state after an argument with his wife. In court, he also stated that he supports the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

According to the court’s version, Danylkov’s exclamations “distort the true goals and objectives of using the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during a special military operation” and were “aimed at discrediting” the Russian army.

Slogan “Glory to Ukraine!” and the answer to him was “Glory to the heroes!” Since 2018, it has been the official salute in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Before that, it was widely distributed during the protests on the Maidan in Kyiv. After the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, this same slogan or parts of it repeatedly became a reason for the persecution of opponents of the war in Russia.
