Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Anna Tsyvylyova as the head of a new state fund for participants in the war in Ukraine and their families.
Tsyvylyova is the wife of the governor of the Kemerovo region, Sergei Tsyvylyov, and, as “Agentstvo” found out, Putin’s first cousin. The chairman of the supervisory board of the fund became deputy head of the presidential administration Serhiy Kyriyenko. Also, the supervisory council included deputies of the State Duma, officials, public figures and media workers covering the war according to the reports of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
According to the presidential decree, the “Defenders of the Fatherland” fund will provide support to “veterans of hostilities” in Ukraine and relatives of those killed in this war. It will be financed from the budget of Russia, donated by “other sources”.
- Tsivylyova is also the chairman of the Council on Trusteeship in the Social Sphere of the Kemerovo Region. On the Council’s website, it is stated that it “is not a legal entity and does not have an account”.
