In Astrakhan Colony No. 10, the administration sent a prisoner from Ingushetia, Abdul-Malik Albagachiev, who suffers from epilepsy, to a penal institution. She appeared to him after torture in the Ingush Center “E”. This was reported by the human rights organization “Public Verdict”.

Human rights activists also report that the prisoner has an iron plate in his collarbone that needs to be removed, but the doctors in the colony do not send him to the hospital for surgery. “All this time Albagachiev is forced to live, being limited in his movements – his right hand is in a bandage.” – said in the message of “Public Verdict”.
The lawyers of the convicted intend to appeal the placement of their client in the PKT and in the SHIZO. They also filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office because of the refusal to perform an operation on him.
In 2018, Abdul-Malik Albagachiev was sentenced to nine years in prison in the case of participation in an illegal armed formation in Syria and the sale of explosives. He reported that during the investigation he was questioned by the staff of the Ingush Center for Countering Extremism (Center “E”). Because of the torture, his hair fell out, he developed nausea, cough with blood, pain when swallowing and heartburn, he began to lose consciousness. Doctors recorded a fracture of Albagachiev’s jaw and nose. Later, he began to have epileptic seizures. The Investigative Committee closed the case about torture because the employee of the “E” Center, whom Albagachiev pointed to, died.
