An explosion occurred in Belgorod on Wednesday afternoon, as a result of which the building of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Belgorod Region was damaged. This is reported by Sota, “Baza” and local Telegram channels.

According to them, the explosion occurred after a drone crashed into the building. The governor of the Belogorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, confirmed the drone strike, but did not specify what kind of building it was. According to him, there is one victim.

The Ukrainian military has not yet commented on the alleged strike. In recent weeks, Belgorod has been under fire almost daily, according to the Russian military, as a rule, from volley fire systems.

On the night of March 27, as stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, 18 rockets fired by the Ukrainian army from the “Vampyr” salvo rocket launcher were shot down on the approach to Belgorod. It is confirmed that one person was injured.

The alleged attack on the building of the Internal Security Service practically coincided in time with reports of airstrikes by Russian troops on the Ukrainian Kharkov, located a few tens of kilometers from Belgorod. According to the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, residential areas were hit, and there are dead and injured. There are no details yet.
