In Belgorod, a drone fell and exploded on the territory of the airport

In Belgorod, an unknown unmanned aerial vehicle crashed and exploded on the territory of Shukhov airport on Monday. Telegram channels Baza and Shot were the first to report this today with reference to sources. Later, information about the fall of the drone was confirmed by RIA “Novosti” with reference to the emergency services.

According to preliminary data, there are no victims. The airport fence received minor damage, the state news agency said.

According to Telegram channels, an aircraft-type drone with an unknown explosive device attacked the airport. The airport’s fence and signaling cable were damaged by the explosion.

Belgorod Airport has stopped accepting civilian flights since February 24, 2022 – the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

At the end of February, several unmanned aerial vehicles fell in Belgorod. It was reported that at least three of them were found. The authorities claimed that there were no casualties as a result of the incident. Several houses and cars were damaged.
