The court freed the Irkutsk blogger and former volunteer of the headquarters of Navalny Dmitry Nadein from further compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital. This is reported by Sibir.Realii with reference to the Telegram channel “Freedom of Political Prisoners”.

Nadein was detained in early February 2021 in Irkutsk. He was accused of inciting terrorism due to his posts on the VKontakte social network. In the texts, he allegedly justified the self-immolation of 17-year-old Mikhail Zhlobytskyi, committed by the latter in October 2018 at the reception center of the FSB in the Arkhangelsk region. FSB investigators concluded that Nadein “recognized the ideology of terrorism as correct” and justified any acts of terror.

Compulsory treatment of Dmitry Nadein was appointed in July 2021. Earlier, a forensic examination recognized him as a schizophrenic, dangerous to society. Nadein was a volunteer in Navalny’s Irkutsk headquarters, and in 2021 he served an administrative arrest for participating in a protest.

  • The explosion in the reception area of the FSB in Arkhangelsk occurred on October 31, 2018. The bomb was carried into the building by a 17-year-old student of the local college, Mikhail Zhlobytskyi. As a result of the explosion, the performer was killed, three employees of the department were injured. A few minutes before the terrorist attack, a student wrote in a chat that the FSB was “fabricating cases and questioning people.” Later, dozens of activists in different cities of Russia were accused of justifying the actions of the perpetrator of the explosion, as well as the preparation of other attackers.
