In Kamchatka, the court sentenced a serviceman to 2 years and 3 months in a settlement colony for refusing to participate in hostilities in Ukraine, the press service of the 35th Garrison Military Court reported on Friday. The name of the convicted person is not given, in the message he is referred to only as M.

According to the court, M. refused to go to the area of ​​”special operations” (as the Russian authorities call the invasion of Ukraine) “without valid reasons.” The court handed down a verdict on the article of non-fulfilment of the commander’s order during the period of mobilization. This happened in January of this year in one of the military units in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The same court reported that it had sentenced a contract serviceman who did not report to the military unit on March 1 to five years in a general regime colony. Three weeks later, he was detained by the police, Sibir.Realii writes.
