The General Prosecutor’s Office of Russia declared “undesirable” the international human rights organization Human Rights House Foundation (HRHF) and its member NGO.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, HRHF’s activities are “aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the state, destabilizing the public and political situation, discrediting the domestic and foreign policy pursued by the leadership of the country, forming public opinion about the need for a change of power in an unconstitutional way.”
Human Rights House Foundation is a non-governmental organization headquartered in Norway. It unites the network “Houses of Human Rights” and other human rights groups in Eastern Europe, the Balkan region and the countries of the Caucasus. In particular, the “Houses of Human Rights” operate in Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, and the “Belarusian House of Human Rights named after Boris Zvozskov” operates in Lithuania, the main task of which is the protection of human rights in Belarus.
“From the beginning of SVO [HRHF]they are engaged in discrediting the foreign policy of the Russian Federation and the Armed Forces of Russia. The provocative informational agenda of the NGO is aimed at the political and economic isolation of Russia in the international arena,” the Prosecutor General’s Office said in a statement.
