In Kamchatka, the father of three children received 2.5 years in prison for refusing to fight

The military court in Kamchatka sentenced local resident Dmytro Ogienko to 2 years and 6 months in a colony-settlement, who refused to take part in the war against Ukraine. This is reported on the court’s website.

According to the court file, Ogienko was found guilty of refusing to carry out the commander’s order during the period of mobilization. The court report specifies that a resident of Kamchatka refused to go to the front in February 2023, being in one of the military units of the region. The case was brought to court on July 18, and the judge issued a verdict on August 16.

“Sota” reports that Ogienko lives in the village of Klyuchy, Kamchatka Territory, and was born in 1983. Ohienko has three children – two sons and a daughter. Judging by the page in “Odnoklassniki”, he served in an air assault battalion.
