Kadyrov’s associates supported the beating of the Koran arsonist

Deputy of the State Duma of Russia from Chechnya Adam Delymkhanov and Speaker of the Parliament of the republic Magomed Daudov praised the 15-year-old son of Ramzan Kadyrov for allegedly beating Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested in the case of Koran burning, in the Grozny pre-trial detention center.
“Deputies of the State Duma, senators of the Russian Federation from the Chechen Republic and I personally support Adam Ramzanovich,” Delymkhanov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Chairman of the Chechen Parliament Daudov said that Kadyrov’s son “acted as a true Muslim, a patriot of his country and a real Chechen”, and that he is “ready to answer for his actions, no matter what it costs him”.
Officially, other representatives from Chechnya in the lower and upper chambers of the Russian parliament did not comment on Zhuravel’s beating.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Chechnya, Mansur Soltaev, promised to look into the situation with the alleged beating of Zhuravel and said that “no one can be subjected to torture and beatings” in the republic.
- 19-year-old Nikita Zhuravel is a native of the annexed Crimea, he burned the Koran in the spring in Volgograd. After his arrest, on the initiative of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, he was taken to Grozny.
- It became known about the alleged beating of Zhuravel on August 16 – the state media of Chechnya published the appropriate mourning on behalf of the arrested person.
