In Krasnodar, the concert of the Shortparis group, which was supposed to take place on April 18, was canceled. This was reported by the representatives of “Krop Arena”, who emphasized that the performance will not take place “for a reason independent of the group and organizers”.

On the site Shortparis and their VKontakte page has not yet announced the cancellation of tomorrow’s concert.

On April 14, “Krop Arena” suspended the sale of tickets for the group’s Krasnodar concert on its website, while “the issue of holding the concert was resolved.” Edition 93.ru connected this with a complaint written to the mayor of the city by Nikita Izyumov, the head of the local branch of the “Tsargrad” movement.

In it, he mentioned that the group’s soloist Nikolai Komyagin received a fine after being detained at an anti-war rally in February 2022, and also spoke of “shame” after the start of the war in an interview with journalist Nikolai Solodnikov.

At the same time, the Shortparis concerts in Rostov-on-Don and Volgograd, scheduled for the same dates as the Krasnodar performance, will take place.

  • After the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia began to cancel the concerts of performers who opposed the war or criticized the Russian authorities. It was also reported that concert agencies began to include clauses in contracts with Russian artists that prohibit them from making political statements from the stage.
  • Many famous musicians left Russia after the war.
