In Moscow, a police major was arrested for abuse of power

The Tushinsky Court of Moscow ordered the arrest of Sergei Andreev, the head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Basmanny district of Moscow, in the case of abuse of power. This was reported by “Kommersant”, noting that the information was received by the “RIA Novosti” agency from the press service of the court.

According to the Shot telegram channel, Andreev instructed his subordinates to “open a criminal case for fraud without evidence.” According to RBC, it concerned the company Tesida services limited Latvia, from which money was allegedly stolen.
The injured company was represented by the “S&K Vertykal” law firm, in which, as noted by the Telegram channel, Andreev’s wife works.
Sergey Andreev is a police major. In 2021, he was appointed head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Basmann district of Moscow. Previously, he worked as the head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Zamoskvorechye.
