In the Bogorodsky District of the Moscow region, the Rosgvardiya officers detained former mercenaries of the private military company “Wagner” on suspicion of abducting three people for ransom.
As the telegram channel “Ostrozhno, Moscow” reports, three Wagnerians kidnapped men who were swimming in Biserovsky Lake and took them to an unknown direction. Later, they contacted the relatives of their victims and demanded 5 million rubles from them. Relatives turned to the police. As a result of operational actions, the captured were released.
It is noted that the kidnapped were kept in a private house in Noginsk for eight days.

The day before, a court in Volgograd arrested 35-year-old mercenary Alexei Khlebnikov on charges of raping his own 13-year-old niece. In August, in Karelia, Igor Sofonov, who returned from the war and was previously convicted, was arrested in Karelia on charges of murdering six people, and in the Kirov region, Alexei Kostromin, previously convicted of the murder of a PMC “Wagner” fighter, was wanted on suspicion of the rape and beating of a 26-year-old girl. At the end of May, a man from Wagner, suspected of raping two schoolgirls aged 10 and 12, was arrested in the Novosibirsk region.
