In Primorye, more than 2,000 residents, including more than 400 children, were evacuated from the flood zone, the regional administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported.

As it became known earlier, populated areas in the Primorsky Krai were flooded due to typhoon “Khanun” and prolonged rains. 28 settlements remain cut off. “In 16 municipalities of the region, more than 4,300 residential houses, more than five and a half thousand homesteads and dozens of road sections were flooded. The work of 9 boat crossings has been organized,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.

It is noted that 13 points of temporary accommodation are deployed on the territory of the region. An additional group of rescuers arrived in the region.

In Ussuriysk, Oktyabrsk and Nadezhda municipalities, 70 apartment buildings and more than 1,100 private residential buildings remain without electricity.

The state of emergency is in effect in 9 districts. The largest amount of precipitation fell in Chuguevsky, Khasan, Yakovlevsky, Oktyabrsky, Chernihiv, Lazovsky, Olginsky municipal districts, Ussuriy and Nakhodka urban districts, as well as in Mykhailo district. Due to heavy rains, 65 settlements in the region suffered, Interfax reports.
