In Pskov, FSB officers conducted a search of the local nationalist leader Georgy Pavlov. This was reported by Sever.Realii with reference to activist Andrey Egorov.
According to him, Pavlov called him in the morning and told him that FSB officers had broken into his apartment, and that he was allegedly testifying in criminal cases about extremism and the justification of terrorism. During the search, all equipment was seized from him and taken to the FSB for questioning. There is no connection with him.
Georgy Pavlov has been holding “Russian Marches” in Pskov since 2012, but since 2017 he has been actively involved in the local human rights agenda: he spoke out against political repression, police arbitrariness, “fraternal wars” and demanded the resignation of Vladimir Putin from the post of president. Since 2019, Pavlov has regularly held actions in support of the family of the arrested “Open Russia” activist Artem Mylushkin, who was sentenced to 11 years of strict regime on charges of drug trafficking.
The search of Pavlov may be connected with the criminal case against the nationalist Vladimir Basmanov (Potkin). He is suspected of organizing extremist activities, justifying terrorism and inciting hatred. On April 19, the FSB conducted a series of searches of activists in several regions of the country. In Koma, political prisoner Alexei Kolegov, leader of the nationalist organization “Rubezh Severa”, was searched.
In September 2022, Pskov nationalists, as a sign of disagreement with the mobilization for war with Ukraine, burned their military tickets and posted photos of their action on the Internet.
