In Rostov, a deputy suggested using child labor for military purposes without the consent of their parents

In the Rostov region, it was proposed to involve schoolchildren in the production of trench candles for the war in Ukraine without the consent of parents. Tatyana Ivashchenko, deputy of the regional zaksobraniya from the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, made such an initiative. This is reported by Kavkaz.Realii.

Ivashchenko called the production of trench candles and camouflage nets “publicly significant voluntary work” and stated that educational institutions should not require permission from the parents of schoolchildren to engage in it.

“Parents don’t trust the school? How many years have we been humiliating the school like this? [Дети] heavier cloths for the blackboard are not lifted until the 11th grade. And then they have to pull their friend out of the battlefield three years later. This is wrong, in my opinion. We must come out with the initiative,” Ivashchenko is quoted as saying by the Rostov website 161.ru.

At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the Rostov Oblast Legislative Assembly, Alexander Ishchenko, instructed his deputy to “work out this question,” writes 1Rnd.ru. According to Russian legislation, the use of forced child labor is prohibited.
