In Saratov, a former PMC fighter who told about mass murders was detained

Azamat Uldarov, who previously claimed that he was a mercenary of PMC “Wagner” and was a witness and participant in many crimes committed during the war in Ukraine, was detained in Saratov on Monday by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and brought to the Investigative Committee. Uldarov’s detention was reported by him himself to the Gulagu.net project, which had previously published his story.

At the same time, as Uldarov said, at the entrance to the building of the Investigative Committee in the Leninsky district of Saratov, he was attacked by several people – according to him, allegedly related to PMC “Wagner” – who punched him in the face and promised to kill him for his testimony against the founder of PMC Evgenia Prigozhina.

Uldarov’s detention was not officially announced. He himself informed the founder of Gulag.net, Vladimir Osechkin, that the investigators wanted to interrogate him about crimes known to him. Osechkin published a video of Uldarov’s call directly from the building of the Investigative Committee.

In mid-April, the “Gulagu.net” project published a video in which two people, who call themselves former prisoners who fought in Ukraine as part of the PMC “Wagner” and were subsequently pardoned by the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, claim that they were witnesses and accomplices of numerous military criminal

“Gulagu.net” calls Azamat Uldarov and Alexey Savychev ex-commanders of the “Wagner” PMC subdivision. Both of them told on the video about the mass murders of prisoners, including the wounded, as well as the fighters of PMC “Wagner” itself, who refused to fight, about the murders of civilians, including children and teenagers, during the storming of Bakhmut.

There are no confirmed words of the people who appear in the video published by “Gulagu.net” from other sources. On Monday evening, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine announced that it had launched an investigation into the article about the violation of the laws and customs of war in connection with the publication of Gulagu.net.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, in a comment published by his press service, stated that the allegations about the shootings of children and civilians are not true. Sources close to Prigozhin also claimed that Osechkin allegedly blackmailed Uldarov by publishing a video of sexualized violence against him from the colony.
