The authorities of the Belgorod region can provide local residents with the opportunity to evacuate to safer areas. This was announced by the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. He advised those interested to contact his reception or the reception of the mayor of Belgorod Valentin Demydov, or the hotlines of emergency services. According to Gladkov, residents will be helped to temporarily move to temporary accommodation points in the cities of Stary Oskol and Gubkin on the same day.
