In Ukraine, they want to create a state structure for humanitarian demining

The Ministry of Economy proposes to create a separate state structure that will deal with issues of humanitarian demining in Ukraine.
About this stated First Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko during a meeting with G7 ambassadors.
According to Svyridenko, the ministry has already calculated the necessary resources to speed up priority humanitarian demining of fields, and has also identified ways to speed up clearing the territory of explosive objects.
Given the needs, she appealed to the G7 countries to provide Ukraine with financial support and help with special equipment and training of people.
In order to implement such tasks, the government proposes to create a separate state structure. It is assumed that it will coordinate the humanitarian demining of the territory and implement related organizational tasks. In addition, according to Svyridenko, such a structure will have a supervisory board, to which representatives of partner countries have been invited.
During the meeting, G7 ambassadors were offered to take over the mined regions of Ukraine and help free them from mines and unexploded ordnance. This, according to the department, will contribute to the acceleration of demining of agricultural lands, which will allow Ukrainian farmers to start using them earlier.

On Monday, following the results of the meeting of the National Authority for Mine Action, a plan of measures for demining agricultural land for sowing was approved.
As a result of hostilities, more than 5 million hectares, or 50,000 km2, of agricultural land are currently unusable due to landmines, contamination by explosive remnants, or ongoing hostilities.
