“is Restoration”: the Cabinet of Ministers reduced the maximum amount of compensation for damaged housing

At a meeting on May 12, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision to reduce the maximum possible amount of compensation for damaged housing within the framework of the “eRecovery” program. This was reported by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, in Telegram.

On April 21, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 381, which approved the Procedure for providing compensation for the restoration of certain categories of real estate objects damaged as a result of hostilities, terrorist acts, sabotage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, using the e-Restoration electronic public service.

The size of the maximum compensation for one damaged object is set at the level of UAH 500,000. Now the government has reduced it to UAH 200,000.

Ukrainians whose housing was damaged as a result of hostilities have the right to compensation in the amount of no more than UAH 200,000 for one damaged object.

How many applications already?

According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmygal, as of the morning of May 12, 5,575 applications were received under the state assistance program for the restoration of damaged housing “eVidnovnaliya”.

“We have already started the big program “eRenovation”. This is monetary assistance for the repair of housing that was damaged due to hostilities. Where houses can be restored, we will help with repairs. We are talking about the possibility of receiving up to 200 thousand hryvnias for building materials or ordering repair services,” the head of government noted.

The “Ministry of Finance” wrote that on May 10, the program of state aid for the restoration of damaged housing “eVidnovnelnya” was launched in Ukraine.

The service can be used by all citizens of Ukraine whose housing was damaged as a result of hostilities and is subject to restoration. This applies to apartments, private houses and other residential premises, for example, rooms in a hostel.

However, citizens who have already repaired their housing cannot yet apply for state assistance.

On the first day of operation of the “eRecovery” program, a failure occurred because the system could not withstand the load.
