On September 12, journalist Ivan Safronov, convicted in the case of treason, was taken from colony No. 7 in the village of Areyskoe in the Krasnoyarsk region, where he was serving his sentence, to a transfer point. “In the hospital, Ivan’s blood was taken, an EKG and fluorography were done. He is absolutely healthy, but he is still waiting for distribution in the single ward of the reception department,” Safronov’s supporters wrote in a telegram.

On Tuesday, September 26, his family flew to the Krasnoyarsk Territory to meet the journalist. Relatives were refused a meeting, he explained that the prisoner was sent to a stage. It is not known when Safronov will be delivered to the Norilsk colony.
