In Moscow, the police detained two journalists at the “Sakharovo” special reception station, who came to meet Sota Vision correspondent Antonina Favorskaya after her release from administrative arrest. The reasons for their detention are unknown, lawyers are not allowed to visit them. Both of them – “Mediazony” photographer Aleksandra Astakhova and her colleague Anastasia Musatova – were taken to the Investigative Committee for questioning, attorney Mikhail Biryukov told Sota.

Antonina Favorskaya herself was not released. “OVD-Info” reports that she was also taken to the Investigative Committee for questioning. Her home is being searched. Lawyer Biryukov said that the search was related to a criminal case, but did not specify under which article.

Antonina Favorskaya was detained in a Moscow cafe on March 17 after visiting the grave of opposition politician Alexei Navalny. The court arrested her for 10 days on the charge of disobeying the police. Sota reports that the police recorded in the offense report that Favorskaya refused to present documents, grabbed employees by the clothes and tried to run away. In court, the journalist stated that she did not agree with the protocol. Her colleagues, who were detained with her, said that, on the contrary, police officers used violence.
